Green Citation provides automated, audit-ready carbon emissions data extraction and calculations for UK small businesses and accounting practices. Green Citation is the trading name of Faye Armitage-Jones, operating as a sole trader in the United Kingdom.

Zero-Document Liability Policy

Green Citation operates strictly as an extraction engine, not a document storage vault. To protect our users and eliminate data liability:

Zero Document Trails: We do not archive or store original financial files, which completely removes the risk of data leaks and ensures absolute privacy.

Instant Processing: The moment a user uploads a utility statement, fuel receipt, or invoice PDF, our extraction engine extracts the raw physical volumes.

Permanent Deletion: The split second the calculation is complete, the original raw PDF document is permanently deleted from our server memory.

Data Volumetric vs. Financial Guesswork

In alignment with UK environmental audit frameworks, Green Citation ignores guesswork about financial spend entirely.

This creates a transparent digital data summary, structured and traceable, that corporate procurement teams can review and check against the source figures.

The platform extracts only raw operational volumes, such as exact kilowatt hours (kWh) for electricity and fuel litres for fleet vehicles.

These figures are mapped directly to official UK Government Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Conversion Factors to generate exact carbon tonne metrics..

Active Data Retention and User Ownership

No calculated data storage. Green Citation does not store calculated carbon totals or emissions categories at all, not while your account is active, and not after. Each report is generated in memory, delivered to you, and deleted immediately, there’s no ongoing database of your figures sitting on our servers to secure, encrypt, or purge, because it’s never created in the first place.

Account-level data only. The only information retained is what’s needed to run your account and subscription, your login details, email, and subscription status, secured using standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

Your report, your copy. The JSON/CSV proof you download at the time of extraction is yours to keep. We hold no copy of it.
